Winter Bane

Daylights soft wain
vestiges of a winter bane
 evening shadows
dawns frozen meadows.

Trees twisted askew
hard the winds blew
they too begin to fade
as night longs to shade.

Cold it can be felt
still,snow can melt
earths axis tips
softing winters grip.

Signs of tomarrows spring
another day will bring
signaling winters regret
burnt orange glow of sunset.

Houston (we have a problem)

Fame
fortune
living a lie
drugs
alcohol
best friend is a high.
pipes
needles
tools for success
puffing
snorting
life is a mess.
Valium
morpine
you have a prescription
torment
pain
suffering with addiction.
Clean
sober
can't understand why
find
vein
in a bathtub you die.

wish
dream
at a fountian of coins.
beaches
jungles
in the sun she basks
love
romance
she seems to ask.
beauty
grace
she has it all
wet
wild
in love I fall.

Bookrack

Waiting for you to find yourself
my book is here upon this shelf.

Dryed
faded
passage of time
words
pages
poetry and rhyme.
Authors
poets
works still speak
accomplishments
sorrows
their pages reek.
Life

stories are told
lines
literature
never grow old.

My book is here upon this shelf
waiting for you to find yourself.

Hopeful Romantic

Would you be my valentine?
you have stole this heart of mine.
Please give me some kind of sign
to be alone is such a crime.

It would surely make my day
if it was yes you would say.
you make all my dreams come true
when you say I love you.

Life together I want to share
we would make a handsome pair.
your love is so very sweet
with you in my arms I am complete.

We can have a brand new srart
if you could open up your heart.
I will make you happy you will see
if you share your love with me.

Word on the Street

On a cobblestone way
a drunkard lay
making last call
his only downfall.

In alleyways dark
two lovers park
thier spirits collide
in a deep divide.

A street urchin waits
for his pearly gates
a bottle he snuggles
to smile a struggle.

On a byway of brick
are the homeless and sick
living is so unfair
as into abyss they stare.

Lifes long lonely road
thier destiny is sewed
a sign it is read
the end is dead.
