As this new year starts
it is time we get smart.
Starvation at every turn
it is a cause for concern.

A hungry world we must feed
to your mercy I must plead.
Kindness is the only cure
that this world needs to endure.

We live in a world so greedy
no one has time for the needy.
It would be money well spent
if one childs death we could prevent.

Deep pockets are few too many
while others go without a penny.
A differance we can make
when to this sufferring we awake.

It's not hard to understand
all we need to do is lend a hand.
Loving one another is a special gift
that is sure to give your spirits a lift.

People don't have clean water to drink
my hopes for a better world begin to sink.
To save this world one person at a time
is the new year resolution of mine.
